The 38th Annual Spring Branch FFA Show and Sale is over, creating a bittersweet moment for many FFA members as they learn how they performed raising their project, finding out how much it raised for scholarship money for them, and saying goodbye to their animals.
Congratulations to our members, their families and supporters who helped them over the last few months, and to our FFA Advisors Bobby Terry and Katie Thompson. A very special thank you to our FFA Alumni Association members and leadership team (Rebecca Robertson, Vicki Fargerson, Lanie Cline, Diana Kopelman, Faith Edgily and Ellen LeBas) who worked tirelessly to put a smooth, successful and upbeat Show and Sale. A special thank you to and our Master of Ceremonies Wade Cline for announcing and explaining what was going on to the crowds, and to our Navy JROTC Color Guard for opening the auction with the presentation of our flags.
We want to also thank our Buyers for making the auction a success. It is through their generosity and willingness for many of them to return each year to participate in this time-honored tradition that helps our FFA students start their college careers with a few less payments.
We will post the official results here at a later date, and you can see what was happening as it did Friday at GC twitter: https://twitter.com/guthrie_center
