Jane Primrose was born in Houston and attended Langham Creek High School where she was very active in agriculture and the FFA. She attended Texas A&M and received a degree in Animal Science with a pre-veterinary emphasis in 2001 where she transferred to Sam Houston State University to work on her Masters of Science degree and teach at the collegiate level. She graduated in 2003 and it was at Sam Houston State that she discovered her passion for public education and found that she could combine her passion for veterinary sciences and agriculture with education. She began her career in education in 2003 as an Agricultural Sciences educator and FFA Advisor at Bay City High School in Bay City, TX and continued as an agriculture educator at Spring High School and Brazos High School before joining the Guthrie team in 2012. Jane’s passion for education and the benefits of CTE education led her to obtain a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership from Lamar University in 2012.
