CULINARY ARTS

I am a true southern belle. I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. I grew up working with my mother and grandmother in the kitchen. I know that is where my passion for food developed.

I move to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2009. I began my culinary journey at Central New Mexico Community College, where I gain an Associates of Applied Science in Culinary Arts and certificates in Baking and Pastry, Professional Cooking and Food Management. I competed in multiple competitions while there. I placed first in the National History Museums Chocolate Fantasy Competition and placed 1st in the student section.

In 2015 I gained my Bachelors of Science in Culinary Arts and On-site Food Management from Johnson and Wales University. Learning and working under such talented and posed chefs truly fostered my love for food even more and gave me a drive to want to share knowledge with others.

After working in hotel restaurants, catering kitchens, bakeries and even starting my own catering business I have learned that food is love and passion is the flame that keeps you going.

I am so happy to be here with the talented staff here at The Guthrie Center and I am so honored to teach the culinarians of tomorrow.
