DARRELL S. LEWIS, BS, JD

I’m Darrell Lewis.

I began teaching in 1999 and joined the Guthrie Center in 2003, teaching the Law and Criminal Justice program.

I hold a Juris Doctor Degree from South Texas College of Law, and Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice, magna cum laude, from the University of Houston-Downtown. 

I am a Marine Corps veteran, and I have been involved in the Criminal Justice field since 1988. 

Upon completion of my police academy training, I received the top academic honors of my class. I have been involved in many aspects of law enforcement including mental health, patrol, investigations, adult probation as well as supervisor of a tactical unit. 

I am also an Adjunct Professor at the University of St. Thomas.

I am a native of Houston and an SBISD graduate.

I have one son, he was a member of the Naval JROTC Program at Guthrie and graduated with honors from Spring Woods. He is currently serving as a commissioned officer in the United States Marine Corps.
