Anne Ivy

counselor
My name is Anne Ivy, and this is my first year as the counselor at The Guthrie Center. I can already tell that this is a great place to be. Whether you currently attend here or are considering classes, it is my pleasure to assist our students, counselors, staff, families, and community partners with promoting The Guthrie Center programs. Ultimately, I love helping students find courses that can lead toward a career path and future success.
The 2025-2026 school year will be my 20th year in Education and my 17th year as a counselor. I have been a counselor in both elementary and high school in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area before joining Spring Branch ISD last year. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University and my Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of North Texas.
My husband and I have two amazing adult children, a son and a daughter, who are both pursuing careers for which an amazing campus like The Guthrie Center can prepare our students. One is pursuing law enforcement and the other health care. I am proud to be a part of a campus that works with students and the community to provide such amazing learning opportunities. My goal is to help our students find ways to build interest and skills that will prepare them for success in a competitive and quickly changing world. I look forward to my work at The Guthrie Center, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to help others.
